How do I upload content?
Where to upload a video in Hotline UGC, which formats are accepted, and what happens next.
Where to upload
Creators upload from the Hub in their workspace. Each upload takes a title, an optional note to the brand, and the file itself.
Every upload is a version, including the first. If the brand asks for changes, your new cut is added as the next version rather than replacing what you sent, and the note that prompted the change stays attached to the take it was about.
Accepted formats
| Type | Formats |
|---|---|
| Video | .mp4, .mov, .webm |
| Image | .jpg, .png, .webp, .gif |
| Document | .pdf, .doc, .docx |
Maximum file size is 500 MB. Documents are accepted by the uploader but creative work is normally video.
What happens after you upload
The brand is notified
Your upload raises a notification in their workspace and emails their team, so it does not sit unseen.
They review it
The brand watches it and either approves it or asks for changes. Notes can be pinned to a timestamp, so feedback points at the exact frame.
Approved videos become ads
An approved video can be published into the brand's Meta ad account as a paused draft ad.
It starts earning
Once the ad runs, you can see its impressions, clicks and what it has earned you on your Performance and Earnings pages.
You only ever see figures for your own videos. Account wide spend and other creators' work are not visible to you.
